Notice is hereby given that the City Council will hold a public hearing on
Wednesday June 17, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall, 103 Water Street. The purpose of the hearing shall be to consider adoption of Ordinance #154: Amending the City Code to allow the limited keeping of female chickens. Specifically, City Code Sections 91 and 155 would be amended to allow up to 5 hens on lots of at least 10,000 square feet within the R-1-A, R-1-B, R-1-C and C-2 zoning districts upon issuance of a City permit.
Copies of the proposed ordinance are available for public inspection at City Hall during normal business hours Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please contact the City at 744-4892 x103 with questions regarding the ordinances or at least 48 hours in advance of the public hearing should you require special accommodations.
