The City of Elephant Butte is one of New Mexico’s premier places to live, work and play. Located immediately west of Elephant Butte Lake State Park, the largest lake in the state, Elephant Butte offers its citizens excellent recreational opportunities both in and out of the water.

As City Manager, I am responsible for the administration of City Government and implementation of policies and programs as directed by the City Council. The Council-Manager form of local government combines the strong political leadership of elected officials in the form of a council or other governing body with the strong public managerial experience of an appointed local government manager.

The Mayor and Council Members are the City’s policy makers, elected at-large, through a popular vote.  As the City Council serves at the pleasure of the citizens of Elephant Butte, the City Manager serves at the pleasure of the City Council.
