Notice is hereby given that Draft Ordinance 179 was approved for Public Comment for a 30 day period ending Monday, January 14, 2019, during a duly advertised public meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting of the City of Elephant Butte, NM on December 13, 2018.
Draft Ordinance 179 amends Sections Ill, IV, V, VI, VIII and IX of Ordinance No. 131, entitled “Animal Control Ordinance,” providing for amendments to the definitions and to the provisions for containment of animals, registration and vaccination requirements, enforcement, penalties and other regulatory provisions, adding a table of contents, an effective date, provisions for minor corrections and codification, and repealing all ordinance and code provisions inconsistent with this ordinance.
This ordinance can be reviewed in its entirety Draft Ordinance 179 or at City Hall, 103 Water Street, from 8am -12pm and 1pm – 5pm Monday through Friday.
