Notice is hereby given that Ordinance 218 was adopted during a duly advertised public meeting of the governing body of the City of Elephant Butte, NM, on April 17, 2024. 

Ordinance 218 amends ordinance 212 allowing for two alternate commissioners on the Zoning Commission. 

 This ordinance can be reviewed in its entirety at City Hall, 103 Water Street, from 8 am -12 pm and 1 pm – 5 pm Monday through Friday or on the City’s website www.cityofelephantbutte.com.

Notice is hereby given that 310 Rock Canyon Road has applied for a development variance/encroachment
that will be presented for Public Hearing on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 10:00am at a special meeting
of the Elephant Butte Zoning Commission, City Hall, 103 Water Ave., Elephant Butte, New Mexico 87935.

PUBLIC NOTICE OF VACANCIES

City Council—One (1) two-year term is vacant on the City of Elephant Butte City
Council. Applicants must be a registered voter and resident of the incorporated city limits
of Elephant Butte. Meetings are once per month unless a special meeting is required.

Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board—One (1) full-time board member seat to be filled by a
member at large and one (1) alternate seat to be filled by an owner/manager within the
tourism or hospitality industry. Meetings are quarterly. Applicants must meet the standards set forth by the state and adopted by the city.

Hospital Governing Board Member— One (1) Volunteer. Meetings are once per
month.
