City Manager Position

The City of Elephant Butte is searching for an experienced, knowledgeable, professional, and performance driven City Manager.  Our ideal candidate will have experience in local government, high ethics, and offer open & clear communication, with the ability to build trust and confidence in our city operations.  This appointed exempt position is responsible for daily operations of the city as required by state statute and city ordinances. The City Manager should adopt best practices and ensure the needs of residents are met with the highest level of professionalism and customer service.  This position requires emphasis on operations and organizational goals. Front Desk Clerk

The City of Elephant Butte is accepting applications for the position of Front Desk Clerk. This position is a general assistant for the office. This position would assist with answering the phone, general clerical, and office work to include typing, filing, and other duties as assigned.  General office experience is recommended but not required. City of Elephant Butte - Board Vacancies

Volunteers are an integral part of our community and its success. Therefore we are asking for letters of interest to serve on our Zoning Commission and Lodgers' Tax Advisory Board.

• Zoning Commission – The Zoning Commission of the City of Elephant Butte has two (2) Fulltime Commissioner seats and two (2) Alternate Commissioner seats that are vacant. This is a volunteer position for the City of Elephant Butte. Meetings are the first Tuesday of every month. • Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board –The Lodgers' Tax Advisory Board is seeking one (1) board member to be filled by an owner/manager of a tourism related industry.
