Serving Our Community

The City of Elephant Butte provides portions of the City with water and sewer. In general, the City provides water services to the residents in the North East portion of town. We also provide water services to the residents in the ‘Hot Springs Landing’ area. Portions of town are now served by the City sewer system. The City has spent nearly $10,000,000 mostly in grant and appropriation money to begin the process of connecting all residents to sewer. This will eliminate the need for septic tanks and the potential of ground water and surface water contamination. To date only about 30% of the town has been served with sewer with additional sewer being installed as funds become available. Please contact us to determine if your area is being served by the City.
