NOTICE OF COMMUNITY MEETING
INFRASTRUCTURE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN (ICIP)
CITY OF ELEPHANT BUTTE
103 WATER AVENUE ELEPHANT BUTTE, NM 87935

Notice is hereby given that the City of Elephant Butte has scheduled a community meeting to gain input from residents for the upcoming Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP) annually updated 5-year plan aimed at prioritizing capital improvements to avoid emergency situations and ensure sustainable development.
• Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 2:00pm.

The Infrastructure Capital Improvement Plan (ICIP) in New Mexico is a vital 5-year planning tool used by local governments, tribes, and special districts to identify, prioritize, and submit anticipated capital projects to the state. Administered by the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), the ICIP helps communities plan for infrastructure development—such as roads, water systems, wastewater and public buildings—to secure funding, primarily for capital outlay. The ICIP serves as a road map for long-term planning and is used by state legislators to determine priorities for capital outlay funding. ICIP is not a funding source itself, but it acts as a crucial planning tool to document, prioritize, and secure funding from state and federal sources

A potential quorum of the City of Elephant Butte City Council may occur as members may attend the ICIP Community Meeting 103 Water Avenue, Elephant Butte, Sierra County New Mexico on May 5, 2026. No public business will be discussed, and no action will be taken.
