City of Elephant Butte - Board Vacancies

Volunteers are an integral part of our community and its success. Therefore we are asking for letters of interest to serve on our Zoning Commission and Lodgers' Tax Advisory Board.

• Zoning Commission – The Zoning Commission of the City of Elephant Butte has three (3) Fulltime Commissioner seats that have come to term. There will be two positions filled with a two-year term and one position filled with a one-year term. This is a volunteer position for the City of Elephant Butte. Meetings are the first Tuesday of every month. Please submit your letter of interest to the Land Use Administrator in attention to “Mayor & City Council”. Deadline to submit August 5, 2025. • Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board – The Lodgers’ Tax Advisory Board of the City of Elephant Butte has five (5) Fulltime Board Member seats that have come to term. There will be three positions filled with a two-year term and two position filled with a one-year term.  The board shall consist of two (2) members who are owners or operators of lodging/hospitality, two (2) members who are owners or operators of tourism-based industries, and one (1) member who is a resident to represent the public. This is a volunteer position for the City of Elephant Butte. Meetings are held quarterly. Please submit your letter of interest to the City Manager in attention to “Mayor & City Council”.
