Notice is hereby given that the City Council will hold two public hearings on Wednesday August 5, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at City Hall, 103 Water Street. The purpose of these hearings shall be to consider adoption of two ordinances amending the Municipal Code.
Ordinance #156: is referenced as the “Annual Alcohol License Tax Ordinance” that establishes the imposition of taxes for alcoholic beverages and providing for the collection of a municipal liquor license. Per State statute 7-24-1, NMSA 1978, the City has the authority to regulate such activity and shall adopt its policy and taxes by ordinance annually.
Ordinance #157: is referenced as the “Drainage and Erosion Impact Lots Designation Process Ordinance” that establishes a process for designating lots identified as being impacted by drainage, runoff, erosion, poor soil and/or flooding conditions or impacting adjacent lots.
